Since the Trusted Shops trustmark offers a real added value for online shops, there have always been attempts to use it illegally.
You can see the status of an online shop’s certificate by clicking on the trustmark. The status must be “valid”.
Online shops, which display a Trusted Shops trustmark that can’t be clicked on (or a trustmark redirecting users to the Trusted Shops’ homepage when clicked on) and which can’t be found via the Trusted Shops’ shop search, have not been certified by Trusted Shops and are probably misusing our trustmark. If you discover an invalid trustmark, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can find an overview of the current cases of trustmark fraud here. Our Infringement Team works intensively to identify and persecute shops misusing our trustmark.
